private cabins.
The Coastal Skipper course is a practical
course on board for those at Day Skipper level or those who wish to
improve their skills. Coastal skipper level theory is required to complete the
course.

The Coastal Skipper practical course starts on a Saturday evening at 1800
hrs and finishes on the following Sunday.
It includes navigation, blind navigation,
extended sailing skills, boat
handling skills, extended skippering skills terminology and much more.
Places visited during the course are usually
Morocco, Spain and Gibraltar.
The cost of the courses are :-
Master class maximum 3 students to a yacht is £
695.00
Master class plus maximum 2 students to a
yacht. £ 975.00
Or to charter a yacht and instructor for the
course £ 1950.00 max group of 5.
Two week combination Coastal Skipper including
theory and practical for the practical certificate.
Prices are the same as above but for two weeks.
All the sailing practical courses include
includes all breakfasts, lunches and three evening meals. The evening
meals are prepared by a local restaurant.
Fuel and berthing are included as are the use of waterproofs.
Coastal D.o.T. Exam
The coastal D.o.T exam is
conducted by an independent RYA examiner. The requirements are 800 sea
miles or 400 sea miles if the candidate has obtained the coastal theory
certification.
The candidate will be prepped for
the exam over a period of four days with the final day being exam day.
The extra cost to take the exam is £ 150.00 including the exam fees.
