Allabroad Sail Training Centre.
Allabroad was founded in 1999 by Vic Punch and
Lynda Young to provide charters on a Moody 46.
After one year they branched into sail training
from
Gibraltar and the business took off mainly because they were using a
brand new Moody 46 for their courses but later because they insisted
on providing good quality courses with good instruction, nice yachts
and most of all good nice clean bedding on board. Gone were the
grimy sleeping bag days.
It did not take long for the business to build up
with all the earnings going back into the school to provide more new
yachts, classrooms and rest rooms.
The school principal has now changed to David
Punch who currently runs the school along with Georgina and Clare
and who maintain the same standards set out by Vic and Lyn.
The school now runs up to ten sailing yachts and
one motor yacht and is the only school in the area that has its own
onsite facilities including classrooms, offices and a good
infrastructure.
Vic and Lyn now Vic and Lyn Punch are still
involved with the school but to a lesser extent and continue to keep
an eye on standards and to make sure everyone who visits the centre
has a good time as well as a good course.
Allabroad is a Gibraltar based company trading in
Gibraltar and providing maritime training for Gibraltar port
workers.
